I got my Suunto mostly for running and hiking, the display has been awesome. Even in super bright sun, I can read it without doing that weird squint-and-tilt dance, which feels like a small miracle. The numbers are big enough to catch while I’m moving, and the backlight at night is clear without blasting my eyes. It’s one of those things you don’t realize matters so much until you’re just trying to glance down quickly. Really happy with it so far.

I got it connected to my phone in about a few minutes with no hassle at all. The setup was straightforward, and I’m happy with it.

The app is simple enough to figure out, and it works well for what I need. I havent had any real issues with it so far.

I mostly use my suunto for hiking, and I’ll give it credit: the navigation is actually solid. Getting routes over from the app is painless, and the breadcrumb trail has bailed me out more than once when I wandered right past a turn like I knew what I was doing.

The maps are clear enough on the watch screen, and GPS usually locks on quickly for me. It’s not the fanciest thing in the world, which might be why it doesn’t overcomplicate everything, but it does the job reliably and that’s really what I wanted

I’ve had my suunto for a while now, the recent software updates have made it feel better than when I first bought it. Syncing is quicker, the little glitches I used to notice are gone, and things like checking activities, loading data, connecting to the app, and just moving through menus all feel smoother.

I really appreciate that they keep improving the watch instead of just selling it and forgetting about it. The updates are simple too, no weird issues, no confusing steps, no getting stuck halfway, no “why is this broken now” moments. It’s just been easy and reliable, so yeah, 5 stars from me.

I sent my watch back and, to be fair, the whole return process was easier than I expected. I’m usually a bit skeptical about returns because they can drag on forever, but I got updates along the way and the refund came through quicker than I thought it would.
