"Recent repair experiences."
I had a Suunto Spartan Trainer Wrist HR watch, which I'd been quite impressed with, but which developed a crack in the casing after nearly a couple of years moderate use. I checked online and several people had had the same problem, so I called Suunto, who informed me that the warranty had been extended because of this issue and sent me an address label to send it to them for repair. They repaired the casing and replaced the battery, both free of charge, and the watch was back with me within about a week.
However, a short while ago (nearly four years after originally purchasing the watch), I noticed some condensation in the watch after a swim in the sea. It cleared, but on my next swim the watch started to malfunction, so I checked the Suunto repair process online and decided to send it for an estimate. I registered the fault online and they sent me a pre-paid address label and a courier arrived the next day and picked up the watch. It was delivered to their repair centre in the Czech Republic the following day and after about two or three days I received an email to say that the watch had been replaced under warranty by a similar model (Suunto 5), and was being despatched that day. The next day it arrived. The whole process took about a week and was completely free of charge, even the postage.
I am very impressed with Suunto's after sales service, the whole repair process was easy to use and efficient and I was kept updated throughout. Many thanks and well done Suunto - highly recommended.
